About Me

Wow. That is great. Hitting it out of the park right off the bat. Man. So good.

My name is Chachi Says. I am not a pro at anything. Well, that’s not true. I am a professional at my chosen field. What I mean is I am not a professional writer, Nor am I a professional gamer. I am just a person like you that enjoys sitting down in front of the television and spending a few hours lost in another world, solving puzzles, playing virtual sports, living a virtual life. I have been a gamer for as long as I can remember. It’s a part of who I am.

I received a book called 1001 Video Games You must play before you die as a gift and after reading it, It presented itself as a challenge. A challenge, that I felt compelled at the time that I needed to complete just so I could say that I did. However, what is the use in completing a challenge if no one knows you are doing it, especially in this age of social media and the Internet in general. So I decided to go public with it. I would play the games, then I would review the games. So that at the end not only would I be able to celebrate the fact that I accomplished this goal but I would have people who followed me through this journey and would be able to celebrate this victory with me. So that is what I set out to do. I started playing and reviewing. After a while(about 30 games or so) I came up with another idea, why not use my love of video games to do some good in the world. I started and ran a non profit event that would allow me to sit down and play video games for 24 hours straight, raising money along the way that I would donate to local art programs focused on providing art based programs to youths. That went on for a few years and raised over 15 thousand dollars. During that time I would also start a video game news site. It did ok for a little bit but we were unable to set ourselves apart and with so many options to choose for video game news and nothing that ultimately made us different, it failed.

So I stepped back, slowed down on the creation aspect of my gaming habits and just played video games while progressing other parts of my life. Career, love life, etc… I advanced my career, got married. Started living my life. All the while, this book was haunting me from the book shelf. Always there, watching. Then the creative bug hit again. I needed to do something that I felt was creative. I dusted off the site. Updated the theme, removed all of the original reviews, talked to the wife, and came to the decision to pick this challenge back up and start from the beginning.

So who am I?

I am just a guy in his mid thirties who is setting out to play and review 1001 Video Games You Must Play Before You Die.

Come on this journey with me.
